The garden apartment building contains 42 units: 14 one-bedroom units and 28 two-bedroom units.
Three bridges enter the building between the third and fourth floors. Six of the 86 townhouses are wheelchair accessible.
Of the townhouses, six are one-bedroom units, 24 are two-bedroom units, 36 are three-bedroom units, and 20 are four-bedroom units.
Amenities: Central A/C, garbage disposals, private patios, off-street parking, laundry room (washer and dryer hook-ups in three- and four-bedroom units), parks for passive and active recreation, and cable television.
Wesley Housing operates the Lincolnia Community Resource Center on site, providing computer instruction, after-school tutoring, ESL classes, nutrition classes, a summer day camp, and other educational and recreational programs for residents.
History: Wesley Housing purchased 20 acres of land (valued at $372,750 in 1977) for $1.00 from the Vernon M. Lynch Sons Partnership after obtaining rezoning and federal assistance.
Wesley Housing donated 10 acres along Turkey Cock Run to the Fairfax County Park Authority for passive recreation.
The property was substantially completed in September 1979. In 2009, Wesley Housing purchased the property with finance partners Fairfax Housing Redevelopment Authority, the Virginia Housing Development Authority, and Boston Capital.
By doing so, the community will be preserved as affordable for another 40 years. Redevelopment plans include renovations to the units and the expansion and renovation of the onsite Community Resource Center.
