Masten Towers is an 11-story building in downtown Fresno. The community is located near banks, doctors, drug stores, restaurants, buses and the Fulton Mall.
Amenities
One-bedroom apartments include a separate kitchen and bathroom which is located just off the bedroom. Studio apartments include a kitchenette and private bath. All apartments are unfurnished units equipped with a refrigerator and stove. Ten percent of our apartments (20 total) are altered to accommodate persons with physical disabilities.
Full-time social services representatives are available to assist with counseling, mail, Medicare, and other formalities.
Security officers are provided 24 hours a day to insure the comfort and safety of the residents.
Laundry facilities are located on the 11th floor and are equipped with coin-operated washers and dryers.
Courtesy transportation to grocery stores and medical appointments is available Monday through Friday.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet certain qualifications specified by the HUD Section 236, LMSA Section 8 subsidy program. Head of household, spouse, or co-head must be 62 years of age or older. Adults 18 and older with a need (mobility impairment) for the features of an accessible unit may also apply.
Particular income limits determined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in accordance with the Section 8 program do apply. Those who qualify for this program type will pay 30% of his/her monthly income toward rent. Stove and refrigerator are included in the rent.
Masten Towers does not provide assisted living, nursing services, housekeeping services, or personal care. Residents must be capable of fulfilling lease requirements by themselves or arrange on their own for needed services to be provided by outside agencies or caregivers.
This apartment accepts HUD subsidies.
For HUD subsidized apartments, if you qualify for low income housing and they have available apartments, rent is based on 30% of your Adjusted Gross Income.
