Baldwin Park Housing Authority provides housing assistance to low income residents through the management of programs such as Low Rent Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8. These programs are income based and the eligibility requirements are set by HUD. There may be a waiting list for vouchers or rentals and at times these list may close to new applicants due to the overwhelming need for housing assistance in the area. The Baldwin Park Housing Authority administers MC Neil Manor, a 12-unit low-income senior housing development.
The Home Improvement Loan and Grant Program provides immediate monetary resources to assist very low, low and moderate income owner-occupants to make necessary repairs to their homes.
The City of Baldwin Park offers a loan program to fund the difference between the purchase price of a home and the first mortgage through the HOME Investment Partnership Program.
