We excel at developing affordable housing and providing programs that link housing, health and social services for low-income individuals and families.
Transitional Housing
Hundreds of men and women with mental health illnesses have found caring environments in our transitional housing programs every night.
Supportive Housing
As one of the nations largest providers of supportive housing services, we work with thousands of individuals and families in New York City.
The Center for Urban Community Services, or the CUCS, has pioneered the advancement of effective housing and service initiatives for the homeless, particularly those with mental illnesses, HIV/Aids, and other disabilities. They provide permanent supportive housing options which integrate mentally ill and non-mentally ill tenants to enable residents to successfully transition back into the real community, and in partnership with the Common Ground Community, the CUCS has established and sponsored the two largest supportive housing residences in the nation. CUCS should be contacted directly for information on these and other services, and for information on rental availability and eligibility.
