The Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter is a non-profit organization offering safe, affordable housing on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Housing options include long-term residency, a housing complex for young adults phasing out of foster care or homelessness, and housing for those with mental illness or chemical dependencies. Throughout the resident's stay the NCS offers various programs including a state-licensed chemical dependency treatment program, an educational and job training program, and several other services to specifically fight homelessness in the area.
