Transitional Living Programs
OPCS operates ten transitional living properties in Tucson, with a bed capacity of approximately 300 beds and welcomes men, women and families reentering the community from incarceration, combat, hospitalization, treatment, and/or detoxification - people with a strong desire to change the course of their lives. Three main programs, Casa Santa Clara for Men, Oasis House for Women and our Veterans Assistance Programs, offer each person in a program the opportunity to personalize their plan towards independence to meet their individual needs. Working closely with multiple federal, state and community partners, we are able to offer an array of enhanced and graduated supportive services, which include:
    Well-furnished housing units with all the comforts of home
    Properties located near city bus lines
    Individualized case management
    Staff on site 24 hours for support and guidance
    Substance abuse counseling and recovery support
    Employ-ability skills training
    Employment placement
    Family reunification
    Assistance with obtaining public benefits

Most low income apartments have waiting lists. Some of these lists can take years until you can be called for openings. The key is to try to get on as many waiting lists as possible.
