This affordable housing program is for individuals and families with moderate incomes allowing below market rents for those who qualify. The program is not a subsidized housing program as each resident is responsible for their full amount of rent each month. Rental amounts are based on the pre-set income limits in the geographic area and not based on your individual household income. To be income eligible, your total household 'gross' income must be less than the pre-set income limit for the area.

New Harmony is one of Mutual Housing's first certified green developments, meeting certification standards of the Build It Green program.
New Harmony offers affordable living for working families and individuals whose limited incomes prohibit them from paying market-rate rent.
As at all Mutual Housing communities, residents benefit from their own resident council and leadership opportunities, as well as a Mutual Housing community organizer and on-site programs for children and adults.
Other property features include a community room for events, a playground, basketball court, free high-speed Internet, access to the scenic Davis bike path and green belt, and a community garden.
In addition to its many on-site amenities, New Harmony is built to high green design standards, with solar photovoltaic panels, energy-efficient apartments, and environmentally friendly interior finishes such as energy-efficient appliances and filtration systems.
The solar panels at New Harmony produce electricity equal to at least 80 percent of the community's electrical use.
This significantly reduces the residents and the nonprofit owner's utility bills.
