Carroll Inn Apartments offers apartment properties under the Section 42, LIHTC (Low Income Tax Credit) program.
The rents are based on the Area Medium Income (AMI) and tenant-based utility allowances. At least 20% of these apartments must provide low rates for low-income tenants.
The program is designed for individuals and families with moderate incomes, allowing below-market rents for those who qualify.
** It is not a subsidized housing program, as each resident is responsible for their full amount of rent each month. Rental amounts are based on the pre-set income limits in the geographic area and not based on your individual household income.
To be income eligible, your total household ‘gross' income must be less than the pre-set income limit for the area.
Single-room occupancy mini-studios. All units have a toilet, a shower or tub, and efficiency kitchen facilities consisting of a half-size refrigerator, microwave and sink. The units are fully furnished, and the monthly rent includes utilities. Each floor has a common lounge and full kitchen available for group meetings or use by residents. Laundry facilities are located on each floor. An office for supportive services is located on the ground floor. Outside, there are two landscaped courtyards. The Carroll Inn is ideally located near jobs, shopping and services, as well as public transportation.
