Menorah Housing Foundation provides affordable housing for older adults and an excellent opportunity to become part of a vibrant, healthy community.
To qualify for our affordable housing, you must meet several criteria and submit the correct paperwork when applications are available. Applicants must be 62 or older, and must receive no more than 50% of the Area Median Income. If you meet these basic requirements, then the next step is to call our information line (see below). The information line will provide you with instructions for applying to one of our housing lotteries, which will determine your place on a waitlist for open apartments.

Most low income apartments have waiting lists. Some of these lists can take years until you can be called for openings. The key is to try to get on as many waiting lists as possible.

Apartment Rates
We provide current apartment rates on many listing pages. Most HUD listings do not have published rates. They are based on 30% of the renters adjustable gross income. You will need to contact the apartments to determine if you qualify for income based rent.
