Nazareth Housing's highly trained staff provide support to low-income, elderly and disabled residents of 40 apartments managed by Nazareth Housing in buildings throughout the Lower East Side and the Bronx.

Permanent and Supportive Housing Buildings:
Marion Agnes House opened in January of 2006. Formerly a closed parochial school, this building offers thirteen permanent apartments for low income households and two units of transitional shelter housing.
Park Avenue Thorpe was originally managed by Thorpe Family Residence. After the merger of TFR and Nazareth Housing, Park Avenue Thorpe's 20 supportive housing units became part of Nazareth Housings resources to aid low-income families attain affordable housing.Partnerships with HDFC and Homesteaded Buildings, Nazareth Housing is pleased to partner with HDFC and homesteaders to help maintain safe, secure housing and promote the stability of buildings and neighborhoods. We can provide supportive services to buildings and individual stakeholders through linkage and partnership agreements.

Most low income apartments have waiting lists. Some of these lists can take years until you can be called for openings. The key is to try to get on as many waiting lists as possible.

Apartment Rates
We provide current apartment rates on many listing pages. Most HUD listings do not have published rates. They are based on 30% of the renters adjustable gross income. You will need to contact the apartments to determine if you qualify for income based rent.
