Studios, 1,2, and 3 bedroom units located in busy Greenwood area, low-income and working families and individuals. Close to grocery shopping and restaurants. Named in honor of Rev. Bill and Jan Cate, social justice and peace activists.
Eligibility:
Applicants must have at least one child under the age of 18 living in the household at least 51% of the time. If the custody is shared, documentation is required. Income must be verifiable at 30% or less of Area Median Income. All applicants are screened for criminal and residential history. Homeless units further require 3rd party verification of homelessness, and willingness to cooperate with on-site Case Management services. Homeless veterans seeking transitional supportive housing must be referred through the VA Medical Center staff.
How much rent would you pay?
Rents are set at affordable limits based upon annual household income. Some units are subsidized by Seattle Housing Authority, with rents based upon a percentage of tenant income.
How to Apply: The Cate does NOT keep a waitlist. When there is a vacancy, it is posted on the website (http://www.lihi.org). The building does not take calls about vacancies. If units are available, they will be listed on our Available Units Page.
