My husband and I just moved to Iowa in January to start over. The day before he was to start his job he ended up in the emergency room. His kidneys are functioning below 15% and he needs dialysis 3 times a week. In 3 weeks we will be homeless. I work part-time and was offered a better job but unable to accept the position because I need to get him to and from his dialysis. I have tried applying for local housing and have checked for help for disabled veterans with no.luck so far. I am trying to keep us in our current area so he can receive the medical care he needs.
